ABOUT ME

Hey friends! My name is Jess and I am the little shorty on the left. I am a senior Public Relations major at Appalachian State University. Are you unfamiliar with App State? Well, this one time in 2007, Appalachian beat Michigan in football. Also, if you type into YouTube, "World's Worst Free Throw," Appalachian has a claim to fame there too. Other than that, it's a pretty small university located in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

I've attended App since my freshman year and have loved every minute of it. You might be thinking, "every minute? That can't be true..." But when I say every minute, I mean it. Even the bad minutes. In fact, I have loved college so much, that I am actually devastated to be a senior. A majority of my friends are either excited to get in to the real world or are staying for a fifth year "victory lap." Then there is me, graduating on time but in complete denial about it.

That's why I have decided to create a guide for senior year. I want to document and share my own journey as a senior. I hope to reach out to others who may be struggling through senior year or who may just be curious on how a senior is dealing with their last year of school. I've decided it's time to come out of my denial, accept my fate and prepare myself as best as I can for my future.

Some of my interests include: hiking, singing, playing guitar, procrastinating, kayaking, netflix (#1 cause of my procrastination interest), crafting, going to the gym, jumping off waterfalls and being spontaneous in all aspects of life!
